“A medical and spiritual gap of care is created when a patient’s self-report of a near-death experience (NDE) is ignored, disregarded as nonfactual, or misdiagnosed as a hallucination due to post-traumatic stress, hypoxia, an adverse reaction to drugs, anesthesia, or mental illness. This gap of care causes patients to lose confidence in expressing their NDE for fear of stigma and is evident in the narratives.”-Lilia Samoilo, NIB commentary author and neologist of the medical and spiritual gap of care of NDE patients.
A special heart-felt thank you to Lilia for all of her hard work and dedication to ensuring the success of this fourth issue of Voices.

THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES
Near-death experiences (NDEs) are often transformative—not only on an individual level, but on a collective level too. This book contains a selection of inspiring stories from ordinary people whose extraordinary experiences have changed the course and direction of their lives, opening each and every one of them to the power of divine love.
Recent years have seen a dramatic change of attitude towards NDEs. Unfortunately, the ongoing debates about NDEs have detracted greatly from their transformational effects and how empowering they can be for the whole of mankind. For those who experience them, NDEs often instill the knowledge that we are all interconnected and part of one great whole.
This book aims to inspire people from all walks of life, creeds, cultures, and faiths to the transformational power of the message of NDEs—and to show how the love experienced during the NDE has the capacity to heal minds, bodies and souls.

EMERGING PROUD Through NOTEs
Have you ever had an experience beyond your everyday reality? Where time warped or even stood still? An experience that fundamentally changed who you are or how you see the world? An experience that maybe even made you question your sanity? So has everyone in this book.
In this first edition of our Pocketbooks of Hope and Transformation Series, you’ll discover 16 stories of people who’ve had NOTEs (non-ordinary transcendent experiences). From challenging visionary experiences to overcoming dark nights of the soul, these stories showcase ordinary people from across the globe who experienced something extraordinary that pushed them beyond the edges of their known world. For many, their experiences brought about big life changes and were an invitation to step powerfully into a life of greater purpose and meaning.
